With Austin having numerous hotel options to choose from, and as someone who has stayed in plenty of Austin hotels with mixed luck, I went in with high hopes for the Omni, and they pulled it off. At check in Jacob was friendly and got both rooms I reserved in fast. I was also told that both rooms had been upgraded to the premier club floor. I will say that it would have been nice to have a self-parking option, given it seems the hotel used to offer this and there is also access to the garage, but all the valet attendants were friendly and efficient. The hotel is in a very unique building with a shared atrium to an office tower, and the elevators all look out into this atrium, speaking of elevators, they were a little rattly which although it did not unsettle me, is probably something that should be addressed. The rooms were very nice, clean, and have been renovated some time recently. My select guest preferences were honored in both rooms which was nice. The premier club lounge had some nice seating, 24/7 coffee and non-alcoholic beverages, and during certain hours had breakfast, light snacks towards lunch, and hot appetizers and alcoholic beverages for dinner, all were complementary for guests on the premier club level. I could see it being an excellent value for a family, and although it was just me, my mother, and one of my BFFs, we all enjoyed the food. We(and quite a few other guests) did show up admittedly right at the breakfast cut off time one of our days, and the lounge staff bent over backwards for us and went and got us some more food to serve us before putting it all away, you do not see that kind of service often. The hotel is also set up in a great location, being located in walking distance of many of the attractions of Austin, and a close drive away to some other areas. Overall we had a great experience here, and will absolutely come back again next time we are in town.

I want to recognize what was easily one of the most professional, well-run hotel experiences I’ve had in recent memory at the Omni Austin Hotel Downtown. From the moment I arrived, the check-in experience stood out. Beck at the front desk didn’t just process the reservation - he took the time to clearly explain how the garage system worked, how re-entry functioned, and how to avoid unnecessary parking charges. It was practical, direct, and genuinely helpful. That kind of attentiveness is rare. He also provided two Select Guest Gold beverage vouchers without being prompted. It felt thoughtful and natural - not scripted. The suite itself was exceptionally clean. I travel 10–15 times a year and I pay attention to detail. I checked the bedding, the bathroom, and under the furniture - everything was professionally maintained. Towels were bright and fresh, there were no stray hairs (a big one for me), no odors, and no residue or buildup in the shower or around the sink. I even used a UV light on the bed and flooring - nothing showed. That level of housekeeping consistency is not common. This isn’t a brand-new hotel, and that’s actually part of why the experience impressed me. You can tell the building has been around - but it’s clearly being maintained with care. Furniture felt solid, flooring and trim were intact, lighting was warm and functional, and the blackout curtains worked properly. The difference wasn’t “newness.” It was effort. The staff is clearly trying, and it shows. The layout of the suite flowed well between the dining, living, and sleeping areas. Even the printed welcome sheet in the room was clearly organized — dining hours, rooftop access, Wi-Fi, amenities — all laid out in a structured way that reflected operational discipline. We spent time at the rooftop pool area as well. The deck was orderly, seating neatly arranged, planters maintained, glass railings clean, and the skyline view added to the overall feel. The food was well prepared and neatly presented, and the coffee was genuinely good - fresh and balanced, not the usual watered-down hotel version. The beverage vouchers were easy to use and felt like real added value. I would confidently place this stay in the top tier of my recent travel experiences. What made the difference wasn’t flashy upgrades - it was attention to detail and staff effort. When a property operates this way, and team members like Beck go beyond what’s expected, it deserves recognition. I’ll absolutely return.

This was an exceptional hotel! The infused waters that changed daily in the lobby were such a refreshing treat. The hotel decor was unique and very tasteful. The rooms were very nice. The bathroom was very clean and I loved the square bathtub, and the small mirror with a light. It was the perfect night light. The lobby staff was very friendly and quick to serve. We would love to stay again! And the bartender, Justin, on the roof was %! We’d return just to visit him and the beautiful bar overlooking the city!

Great hotel and great location. The staff is wonderful and the rooms are clean and spacious. I would stay here again. Oh, they have a tech package with two monitors, docking station, mouse and keyboard so you can work when in the room. Great touch!

We had a great stay at the Omni Downtown Austin. I was initially on the fence between booking a design-focused hotel (Line, Proper, etc.), but since we’re a family of four, the double queen rooms felt too tight for a four-night stay. I decided to prioritize comfort over design—and it was absolutely the right call. We paid around $350 per night for a one-bedroom king suite, which was very generously sized, with a separate bedroom and a living room with a sofa bed. The room was extremely comfortable, and we felt very at ease throughout our stay. The staff was genuinely kind and helpful, which made the experience even better. The highlight was the complimentary early check-in at 10 a.m. and late check-out at 6 p.m. due to our delayed flight—this made a huge difference and was so appreciated. Highly recommended for families traveling to Austin who want space, comfort, and great service
